According to Texcal Energy Mahato Inc, the safety of its personnel is not just only a policy, but it is the Company’s main value. This safety commitment was tested by conducting Fire Drill Test and Recue Drill which held on 17 February 2026 at Shipping Tank, Petapahan Field, Riau.

The scenario presented a worst case situation for the operators. It started with a sudden fire during the routine oil level check. Amid the simulated emergency, a production operator attempting to escape the flames slipped and fell unconscious. This condition triggered an immediate response.

What followed was a demonstration of a well coordinated emergency response. Within seconds of the alarm being activated through the CCTV command centre, the Fire Emergency Response Team (FERT) and medical personnel mobilized. Under the command of the FERT Captain, teams deployed water shields to contain the heat, while rescuers safely evacuated the injured worker using a Life Support Board. Within fifteen minutes, the victim was stabilized for a suspected leg fracture, the fire was extinguished, and the site was declared safe.

“Awareness and readiness are our top priorities,” the Company stated following the exercise. By identifying potential gaps in their Emergency Response Plan, the Company aims to ensure that, in the event of an actual emergency, the response will be swift, effective, and well coordinated. In an industry where every second counts, this fifteen minute drill demonstrated that for the Company, operational excellence begins with a safe and prepared work environment.
