As part of HSSE initiatives, the HSSE team has conducted an emergency road traffic accident drill to improve the quality and preparedness of paramedics in dealing with victims of traffic accidents (trauma life support) & medevac (medical evacuation). This exercise also involves the local police providing training to TMEF security officers on emergency response & communications, asset security and emergency traffic management at the scene.

The exercise is one part of the MVS (Motor Vehicle Safety) program which tries to cover the shortage of public health facilities in dealing with traffic accidents on roads frequented by TMEF vehicles. This training is expected to provide good evaluation results to improve the quality of the TMEF emergency response team.
