Texcal Energy Mahato Inc. successfully held the Celebration of 81th Indonesia Independence Day on 28 August 2026 with the theme “Embracing Unity in Merah Putih Competition”.
In a powerful opening speech of Indonesia’s Independence Day, Texcal Energy’s VP of Human Resources, Ibu Yunita Widiyawati, called on employees to honor the nation’s history through workplace excellence and unity.
“August 17 is a special day that reminds us of the brave heroes who fought hard for our freedom,” Ibu Yunita stated. She emphasized that the corporate environment reflects this historic struggle through daily dedication, mutual support, and collaborative problem-solving.
Urging the workforce to channel the patriotic spirit into their daily operations, she added, “As one team, we are working hard, helping each other, solving problems together and doing our best for Texcal Energy and our Country.” The speech concluded with a spirited call that united the entire room in a chorus of shouts: “Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!”
The event filled with engaging competition across department. The first event was the Independence Mascot Competition, where each department showcased its creativity by sending representative dressed in a mascot costume which reflected the theme of Indonesia’s 17 August Independence Day.
The next event was the Traditional Costume Competition, where each department presented on representative wearing a traditional Indonesian costume. Participants showcased the rich cultural diversity of Indonesia through their chosen traditional attire, while also demonstrating creativity in their presentation.
The third event was the Tumpeng Challenge Competition, where each department demonstrated its creativity by preparing and decorating a tumpeng inspired by the spirit of Indonesia’s Independence Day.
The final event was the Best Merah Putih Costume, where participant was selected based on their red and white accessories representing the spirit of Indonesia’s Independence Day.
This event was organized to commemorate Indonesia’s Independence Day while strengthening teamwork, fostering collaboration and enhance employee relationships to support the Company’s continued growth and success.
