The Head of SKK Migas Representative Office for North Sumatra, Mr. Rikky Rahmat Firdaus and the highest authorities of Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) of the Riau Region met the Governor of Riau, Mr. Syamsuar and his staffs in Pekanbaru on Tuesday, 8 February 2023. The objective of the meeting is to provide the Governor with 2023 exploration & exploitation activities planning of all KKKS of the Riau Province. Riau Governor, Mr. Syamsuar said that he would like to see more safe exploration & exploitation activities in the area with provide wider opportunities to local entrepreneurs contributing in the upstream oil & gas activities. This is very important to deliver multiplier effect in the economy and development. Nevertheless, the safe and reliable oil & gas operations are still the job number one priority. Mr. Rikky Rahmat Firdaus emphasized that the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry always prioritizes conditions of security, health, and safety of workers in their working areas. Also, the company must carry out standard operating procedures at all times and proper supervision.
Texcal Mahato EP FZCO (“Texcal”) as one of the KKKS operating on Riau province attended the meeting and represented by Government Relation Manager, Mr. Wisnu Rizkiawan and PSCM Manager, Mr. Choliq Triananta. Texcal presence in the meeting on two contexts, one as the operator of Mahato block and two as the leader of 2023 National Capacity Forum appointed by SKKMigas. Texcal representatives delivered not only the readiness of 2023 activities planning and its challenges but also deliver the invitation for the Governor to attend the opening of the forum as keynote speaker.
The meeting adjourned with clear expectation by the Governor and the Head of SKK Migas Representative Office for North Sumatra supported by all Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) of the Riau Region.
